Manchester United have officially secured the future of their rising star, Amad Diallo, with a new long-term contract. The Ivorian winger, who has been a standout performer this season, has committed to the club until June 2030.
Amad Diallo's journey at Old Trafford has been a rollercoaster ride. After joining Manchester United from Atalanta in 2020, he was initially sent out on loan to Rangers and Sunderland. However, it was during his time at Sunderland that Amad truly found his form, earning the PFA Championship Fans' Player of the Year award.
Upon his return to Manchester United, Amad struggled to break into the first team under former manager Erik ten Hag. However, since the arrival of new head coach Ruben Amorim in November, Amad has been a key player. He has featured in all 12 matches under Amorim, starting nine of them and delivering eight direct goal contributions.
Amad's new contract comes with a significant pay rise, reflecting his growing importance to the team. The 22-year-old will now earn around £120,000 per week, up from his previous £30,000 per week. Despite interest from other top clubs, Amad chose to stay at United, showing his commitment to the club and its fans.
United fans can look forward to seeing more of Amad's magic on the pitch as he continues to develop under Amorim's guidance. With his new deal in place, Amad is set to be a key figure in Manchester United's future success.
